Movie of the Geek (Week)

Hi y’all. As many of you know I’ve been working on the Earth Hour campaign, so I’ve been a little busy lately, but with the big day now behind us I thought it time to share some joy with all of you: I’ve got prizes to give away again!

This time it’s a bevy of DC Universe Original Animated Movies on Blu-Ray and DVD thanks to the funky people at Warner Bros, namely one pack of three movies in each format, each containing a copy of:

How do you win these packs you ask? Well, I’m glad you did, otherwise me randomly shouting instructions now would just seem confusing!

To celebrate the geeky nature of the prize packs, which I get to give away as part of Warner Bros’ Geek Week promotion, I thought we’d try a twist on the classic Twitter meme #SongsInCode, namely #ShowsInCode. The original saw tweets like this:

if(isout(my.milkshake)) { yard.attract(boys.all()) }

…and we want you to use this same idea to express your favorite TV show titles, famous scenes or quotes as code and post it to Twitter. The two best entries will win the packs, couldn’t be simpler!

So the steps are:

Step 1) Be on Twitter. You’re not? Sign up today. It’s pretty neat.

Step 2) Describe a TV show, famous scene, or notable quote as code. For inspiration you can find a record of the #SongsInCode meme here.

Step 3) VERY IMPORTANT: You need to add the Hashtags #ShowsInCode and either #DVD or #BR for Blu-Ray to tell us which pack you want – if you don’t do this, we won’t see your entry. Furthermore, each entry needs to contain this short URL - http://bit.ly/GeekWeek -  leading back to this post, so you’re followers don’t think you’ve gone mad.

Step 4) Enter as many times as you like and hope to win! Entries are open until the end of Wednesday, the 31st of March, so get cracking!
