Looking for Sponsors for Warlachpalooza!

Hey there funky people,

Well, the day has come. I can no longer avoid the crooked finger of Father Time – “show me on the doll where Father Time touched you” – and have been rudely shoved into the 25-34 age bracket, the glory of my 18-24 days but a fading Polaroid in the sunshine of my memories…

*ahem*

Why am I telling you this? Well, put simply, I want a party. A big party. The kind of party where I invite people from High School, University and all of my friends from the Internet. There is just one problem: this takes money.

After being made redundant last year, money has been a little tight, and even though I’m back in work now, I’m a little strapped for spending cash. Rather than view this as a problem I’ve decided to see this as an opportunity:

The TV Geek Awards!

You may have noticed on Tuesday I ran a little competition giving away from DVDs from Warner Bros. Well, the response was amazing, with literally hundreds of entries over two days, but it is now time to announce the winners! As I said in my previous post, there are two winners, one pack of movies on Blu-Ray and one on DVD, and so without further ado, I present the winners:

Blu-Ray

The first winner is Paul Jenkins, otherwise known as @Aeoth on Twitter. Want to know why he won? Check out some of his fantastic entries below!

This one got a little cut off, but is still brilliant:

DVD

Now, the second winner may be recognisable to some of you - he in fact was also one of the winners of the last competition I ran. I used an independent panel to help me chose the winners of this one though, consisting of a coder, a comedian and a poet, and they all agreed that the winner of the DVD pack could no one other than Mick Attard, better known as @MetalHeadMick on Twitter.

Notable Mentions

As with any competition, there are lots of runners up. Below is collection of some of my favourites.  I wish I had more prizes to give away, you all did great, but feel free to tell me I owe you a beer next time we meet! In alphabetical order:
