Hey there funky people,

Well, the day has come. I can no longer avoid the crooked finger of Father Time – “show me on the doll where Father Time touched you” – and have been rudely shoved into the 25-34 age bracket, the glory of my 18-24 days but a fading Polaroid in the sunshine of my memories…

*ahem*

Why am I telling you this? Well, put simply, I want a party. A big party. The kind of party where I invite people from High School, University and all of my friends from the Internet. There is just one problem: this takes money.

After being made redundant last year, money has been a little tight, and even though I’m back in work now, I’m a little strapped for spending cash. Rather than view this as a problem I’ve decided to see this as an opportunity:

I’m looking for sponsors for my Birthday.

I’m not talking some enormous extravaganza with performing elephants and special guest star Adam West, I’m really just looking for people/companies to cover the following:

• A venue – the bigger the better
• Alchohol – not unlimited, but a tab would be nice
• Food – same as alcohol, perhaps a large amount of pizza?

Why do I think putting this out on social media will yield results, and further, what is in it for the sponsors? Well, in the last 6 months I’ve

• run two seperate (fairly successful if I do say so myself) competitions on Twitter
• experienced an amazing response from Telstra, and others, for a call to action through social media, and,
• acted as the social media manager for a global campaign that reached over a billion people in 24 hours.

Put shortly, I live, work and play on social media, so this just feels right, and naturally I’ll be sure to pimp any brands that help me out both here, on my Twitter, at the party and anywhere else.

With my birthday falling on Easter I’ve postponed the party but am looking at having it either on Friday 16th or Saturday 17th of April.
