Facebook: The Musical!
Now, many of you will know that I spend a LOT of time on Facebook, some for personal reasons and even more for work, so when I saw this song I just had to share it with you. We don’t have long to wait now until we see the Facebook movie, The Social Network, but perhaps Turkish musician, Ismail YK, is hoping to score a spot on the soundtrack?
It’s pretty fantastic, isn’t it? Thanks to @Beaney for bringing it to my attention. Naturally you want to know what the lyrics are and what he’s typing to the lucky lady in the clip, right? Well I can help you out!
According to the website, Do You Know Turkey (and I mean, really, do you?) Ismail’s tips for wooing the hotties on Facebook includes the following:
The girl is asking about his hobbies, then he answers “dancing” then he sends a video of his dancing performance. The video of his dancing performance is also very interesting , he is dancing on the beach with ninjas, then suddenly a meteor crashes into the sea, a tsunami arises, then suddenly a chopper come, and takes him through the sky of San Francisco (but most of the parts are from New York i think). The girls is so impressed and asks about the complete video, he offers to send the remaining part, then the girl says no, lets meet.
Wait, you missed the dancing with the ninjas, choppers and beach based meteorite implosions? Go back and watch the whole thing!

Finally, here’s the best news: this is not the first time İsmail YK has written a social networking themed song, in 2006 his hit song was BombaBomba.com and simultaneously he launched a social network and dating site bombabomba.com, which has since been closed down. Good times.
So, who’ll be using their song at their next party? I would say though that if @LikeOMG and @Gregory_Brine are still looking for a first dance song for their upcoming nuptials: guys, your search is over.

it’s lucky our wedding venue is on a pier, so i can promptly jump off it when this song comes on.

It is funny story but true. I also found my boyfriend through facebook. We are from different part of the world and yet we meet.Impossible right? But, I don’t feel any regret at all. Now we are turning 2 years next month and I feel very blessed.
